Recently, we had our first BBQ of the season. These events are usually a “come over whenever you want, we’ll be here all day” kind of thing. AND there is usually too much food.
But this time, I made a point to only make two items: a pasta salad and a dessert. I was lucky enough to have the ingredients already in the refrigerator and pantry for both.
I was excited to use fresh basil from my garden for the orzo salad, but you could leave it out and you would still have a delicious salad. I got tons of compliments on this one.
