I wanted to share some belated photos from our short, rainy Labor Day camping trip. The benefits of waiting out the rain is a beautiful rainbow after the rain clears. This photo doesn’t translate the true beauty of the colors, but the one below does a little bit of a better job.
We hiked up part of the mountain by our campsite once the rain stopped and had a great view of the taller mountains above us.
I didn’t think that Summer would be over after Labor Day, but there was definitely a coolness to the breeze and this week we were having highs of 50 in Denver. I should have known with the rain, and hail we had camping. We even had flurries here the last day of Summer.
I’m ready for Fall though, and I know that the warm weather hasn’t disappeared for good yet. They are saying 80 degrees this weekend. The Aspens were beginning to turn bright yellow up in the mountains Labor Day weekend and look forward to driving up again soon to see all of the Fall colors.
